Arrest over crack cocaine haul

Crack cocaine with a street value of £100,000 was seized by customs officers at East Midlands Airport earlier this month. Officers found a kilo of the deadly drug in a consignment of dried food, including seasoning, soup powder, and vegetable mince which had been sent from Jamaica and was destined for a house in the Wolverhampton area.
The seizure was made on January 11 but details have only just been released for intelligence reasons. West Midlands Police arrested a 46 year-old woman from Wolverhampton this week in connection with the seizure. She has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
