Plane diverted after passenger dies

A holiday from Cyprus flight bound for East Midlands Airport was diverted to Germany yesterday after a passenger died. Thompson Airways confirmed that the flight from Larnaca was delayed for about two hours in Munich before continuing on its journey.
The plane landed at East Midlands Airport at about 19:25. A spokeswoman for the holiday company said: ‘Thomson would like to extend their sincere condolences to the family of the deceased at this difficult time.’
