Drug smuggler jailed for 10 years

A Malaysian woman was jailed for 10 years after she was convicted of trying to smuggle a large quantity of cocaine into the UK via East Midlands Airport.
Susanna Binti January, 36, was sentenced this week after officers from the UK Border Agency found over 3 kilos of the Class A drug in her luggage on April 30. The estimated street value of the drugs was over £300,000. She was recommended for deportation once she has served her sentence.
