bmibaby launch charity fundraising drive

East Midlands Airport based bmibaby has launched its annual fundraising appeal for BBC Children in Need, the airline's national charity partner. This is the sixth year it has supported the charity and to mark the start of its fundraising activities, the airline has covered one of its planes in colourful spots - like Pudsey's bandana - and named it Pudsey-baby!
Cabin crew started collecting loose change and foreign currency on every flight on Monday, and will continue to do so until 30 November - on a total of 2928 flights. In addition the budget airline will hold fundraising activities at its four UK bases: East Midlands, Manchester, Cardiff and Birmingham, and at its head office. Last year it raised over £40,000, and it is hoping to beat this in 2009.
