Prestige car park gets Park Mark

Following an upgrade East Midland Prestige parking has been awarded with the Park Mark Award. Initiated by the Association of Chief Police Officers, car parks must meet strict standards in order to receive the nationally recognised award.
It is a turnaround for the car park, which was fined £20,000 less than two years ago after it promised secure airport parking but left cars in the open. The firm were also displaying the Park Mark logo when they had lost their right to do so.
The car parking operation pleaded guilty to eight charges under the Trade Descriptions Act. It was fined a total of £20,000 and ordered to pay over £2000 in costs in November 2007.
