Passenger slates airport over passenger bus crash incident

Handling staff at East Midlands Airport have been criticised for the way passengers injured on a transfer bus were treated, the BBC reports. Passengers were being taken to the airport terminal after arriving a bmi flight from Malaga earlier this month. One told the BBC that the bus braked sharply and several people were hurt, but that they were not given first aid until they had walked through Passport Control at the airport.
The airport has apologised and said an investigation was under way. A spokesperson tsaid that the transfer of passengers was the responsibility of the airline and handling company employed by the airline. bmi expressed its regrets and apologised to passengers affected by the incident while travelling in a Menzies bus to the terminal.
