Passengers hit by plane problems

Almost 450 holidaymakers returned to East Midlands Airport yesterday after being delayed by two seperate incidents of plane trouble in Turkey and Egypt.
Around 200 passenger were delayed in Turkey for more than 24 hours. Their Excel flight from Dalaman had been due to leave on Monday but the flight was delayed due to technical problems.
Another 248 people had been due to fly into the airport from Egypt on Tuesday morning. The Thomsonfly flight was also delayed due to technical problems but passengers arrived back yesterday.
