Heavy traffic expected near East Midlands Airport next weekend

Budget airline bmibaby has issued a travel warning to those travelling via car to East Midlands airport next weekend.
Between next Friday (June 30) and Sunday (July 2) the British Motorcycle Grand Prix is taking place at Donington Park, which is located near East Midlands Airport. Congestion is likely to be most severe on the Sunday evening.
Although traffic management systems are in place, people are warned to factor this into their plans if they are travelling to the airport by car.
