New hologram assistant

A hologram has been installed at East Midlands Airport to help speed passengers through the security process. The launch comes less than a week after Edinburgh Airport showcased its two hologram assistants, and they are also helping passengers at a number of other UK airports including Luton and Manchester.
East Midland's virtual assistant reminds passengers about current liquid restrictions and tells them about the screening process. Unlike the other airports, where actors are often used, it is a holographic projection of senior terminal services assistant Heather Hodson. The hologram is part of a £200,000 refurbishment of the security area.
