New hangar completed

Work on a new aircraft hangar has been completed. Manchester Airport Group (MAG) Developments, the property arm of the airport's owner, has spent £25 million building the new aircraft hangar and a recently opened hotel at East Midlands Airport.
The 26,000 sq ft (2,425 sq m) hangar was built in just 23 days. Like the 218-bedroom hotel, it has been given a high energy-efficiency rating. An MAG spokesman said the projects would bring in about 180 jobs to the airport.
