East Midlands wins award

East Midlands Airport was named ‘Star Regional UK Airport' at the Travel Bulletin 2010 Awards. It is the fourth consecutive year the airport picked up the award, this year beating other regional airports including Bristol, Liverpool and Bournemouth.
Voted for by UK travel agents, the Travel Bulletin Star Awards are one of the most prestigious events in the industry calendar. They are designed to celebrate the achievements of the travel trade.
A spokesman for the airport said: ‘We are delighted to have received this prestigious award again. In such a competitive market, it shows the confidence, trust and respect our colleagues in the travel industry have in us.’
