Thomas Cook flight 17 hour delay

Passengers on a flight to East Midlands Airport from Skiathos were delayed by more than 17 hours. Flight TCX 181L finally arrived at 10:43 yesterday.
After taking off on time, the flight made a routine stop at nearby Thessaloniki Airport to refuel, because the runway at Skiathos is too short for planes to take off from with a full fuel load, but developed a technical fault. Two engineers were flown out to Thessaloniki from the UK to fix the problem.
This meant passengers spent an extra night abroad while the problem was rectified. Thomas Cook Airlines has apologised for the delay.
