Security staff to hold strike vote
16.08.07
More than 200 security staff at East Midlands Airport are to be balloted on industrial action in a dispute over pay. Unite, the former Transport & General Workers Union, said its members at the airport will vote on whether to launch a campaign of strike action.
Regional organiser Mick Till said: 'Our members have mandated our negotiators to press for a substantial pay increase to reflect the increased pressures and responsibilities they have in the ongoing high security at airports.'
