UK International Airlines gets ready to launch UAE / Pakistan flights

UK International Airlines, a Sheffield-based airline that intends to launch services from the UK to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Pakistan, has received a licence to launch from the Civil Aviation Authority, as well as authorities in Pakistan and the UAE. It will start flights a week from today.
The airline, which was formed on September 13 2005 to operate services between the UK and Pakistan, has published a flight Schedule indicating that it will start flights start from East Midlands Airport on October 19 (a week from today). It will to Sharjah (UAE) and on to Islamabad (Pakistan), initially with 2 weekly round trips (on Tuesday and Friday), increasing to 3 weekly trips from December 7.
In the near future the airline hopes to be operating flights from Gatwick, Manchester and East Midlands Airport to Islamabad, Lahore and Sharjah. Medium term plans also include flights between the UK and Dhaka, Kathmandu, points in India and to Gambia in Africa. Its currently has a fleet of two Boeing 767-200.
