Ryanair axe Inverness flights
12.06.09
Ryanair is to axe its flights between Inverness and East Midlands Airport on July 16, with passengers who have already booked tickets beyond this date receiving refunds. The announcement comes just three months after Lesley Kane, the airline’s head of sales and marketing, said the route would be maintained.
Daniel de Carvalho, Ryanair’s European communications manager, said yesterday: ‘On review of all of Ryanair's 800-plus routes at the time of our annual results, the Inverness to East Midlands route was identified as one of our worst-performing. It has unfortunately been removed from Ryanair's scheduling.’
