bmi use bigger planes on Brussels route
09.04.08
bmi is using larger aircraft on its route between East Midlands Airport and Brussels to meet growing demand. The route is now being operated using an Embraer 145 aircraft, which offers 30% more seats than the Embraer 135 that was previously used on the air link.
The extra capacity came into force for the summer 2008 timetable, which was launched last week. In addition, in July and August, the airline will fly three times a day on the route, adding more than 2000 seats over the two months.
The flights are timed to connect with Star Alliance partners at Brussels, including to Scandinavia with SAS, Germany with Lufthansa and Austria with Austrian Airlines.
