BMI launch Frankfurt flights

BMI Regional has launched a new route to Frankfurt from East Midlands Airport. The route will be operated 16 times weekly using a 49-seat ERJ145 aircraft.
BMI is, however, looking to sell its regional subsidiary, making the new route’s future uncertain. There are reports today that BMI itself will be shut down, with its Heathrow slots and planes sold off. The route was previously operated in 2002, also by BMI, which is based near East Midlands Airport.
