East Midlands airport pay dispute settled

Industrial action by security staff at East Midlands Airport has been averted after workers settled a pay dispute. The dispute centred on a pay rise G4S Security had given to new staff, but not to existing employees.
The Transport & General Workerts Union had threatened an overtime ban and 4 stoppages unless a deal was reached. But the 150 security workers at the airport voted by a margin of two-to-one to follow the union's advice and accept the two year pay offer.
