Jet2 celebrate first anniversary of East Midlands base

Jet2 has celebrated the first nniversary of its base at East Midlands Airport. The airline has two aircraft based at the hub, flying to 12 popular holiday hot spots, with approximately 100,000 passengers taking its flights to and from Europe over the last 12 months.
The budget airline's managing director, Ian Doubtfire, said: ‘We are delighted with the results from our first year at East Midlands Airport. The growth we have seen, combined with the new routes we have planned, mean we will fly more people from the region to where they want to go directly from their local airport.’
